JUDICIAL

The purpose of the Judicial Committee is to preserve a safe environment for all members of EYSA by adjudicating claims that members have not adhered to the Rules, Laws, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Spirit of the League. It is also bound by the Rules, Laws, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Spirit of District II, WSYSA, Region IV, USYSA, USSF and FIFA.

For further information please read the EYSA Manual for Protests, Appeals and Disciplinary Hearings, contact your Clubs' Judicial Committee Representative, or the Judicial Chair.

Report from EYSA Disciplinary Committee to Coaches/Parents:

The judiciary Committee reviews all reports of misconduct occurring during or in relation to recreational level games played by EYSA teams. Alleged misconduct can involve not only players, but also coaches, referees, and sideline participants. Depending on the seriousness of the reported violations, the committee conducts open hearings to determine whether or not disciplinary action is warranted. As a continual reminder, the committee communicates with each coach relative to EYSA's expectations of sideline behavior. We are gratified to report that during this past season we experienced a dramatic improvement. Complaints and incidents of abusive and unsporting sideline behavior (both coach and spectator) were greatly reduced. This is a extremely positive sign. Once again this year, the Committee has released a letter to all EYSA coaches stressing the need for continued diligence. Additionally, we have prepared a letter addressed to all parents highlighting your responsibility to contribute to a positive learning experience for all game participants: players, coaches, referees, and other sideline participants.
