Most Memorable Soccer Highlight:

  1. Coaching the Emerald City’s U17 Fusion boys in the 1996 USYSA National Championship game against Columbia City FC from Maryland, losing 2-4, but witnessing my players competing for the top trophy in the country.
  2. Experiencing the 1994 World Cup live in the US with my daughter who was 5 months old and in the WC stadium,  and then again the latest 2006 World Cup in Germany in person in the stadiums. This time she was 12 and a soccer fan and player herself, cheering on Germany in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium in the quarterfinal versus Argentina. It just does not get better than that.
