Coach License Reimbursement Policy
Accepted October 7, 1998

1. Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA) will reimburse EYSA coaches in good standing for the cost of taking an approved coach licensing course provided the coach passes the course and volunteers to coach within EYSA according to guidelines set forth below.

2. The expenses a coach will be reimbursed for include the cost of course registration/tuition. Coaches will not be reimbursed for cost of travel or meals unless meals are included in the registration fee. For the National level licenses reimbursement will be for the cost of the commuter fee if the course is held in western Washington and for the residential fee if the course is outside of western Washington. Reimbursement does not include the membership fee to USSF or NSCAA. Documentation of expenses and certificate of coaching license must be sent to the EYSA board in order to receive reimbursement.

3. Reimbursement for coaches' courses is for individuals in good standing that are volunteering to be a head or assistant coach for an EYSA team for the upcoming season/2-years. There will be no reimbursement for paid head or assistant coaches. Individuals that are paid to train teams that are also unpaid head or assistant coaches for another EYSA team will be eligible for reimbursement.

4. Reimbursement for the National level licenses may be spread out over a 2-year period if the number of coaches applying for reimbursement exceeds the amount budgeted for coaching education.

5. The only approved coaching courses are listed under volunteer expectations. An individual may only be reimbursed for 1 course per year. There is a lifetime cap on reimbursement for an individual of $2000. Individuals can not be reimbursed by both a club and EYSA for the same course.

6. Individuals wishing consideration for exceptions to the above rules need to petition the board.
